Description

“Starlit Faerie Hollow” Fairy Garden

About Starlit Faerie Hollow: Please keep your new fairy garden out of the elements and
inclement weather, and try to keep the sides of the pot dry. The exterior of the pot is covered
with shined river rocks, sheet moss, and Spanish moss and was applied meticulously by hand.
Everything was applied with Epoxy or Gorilla Glue so extra care is needed when watering the
pot. The best place to keep it is on a patio, out of direct sun so not to burn the succulents, and
keep the pot either on the ground or on a strong table, as the pot is quite heavy. It is a 15.5”
diameter round terra cotta pot with a drainage hole and the fairy decorations are made of resin
and at night, the windows and door glow in the dark but not for long. The delicate figures and
critters are removable and the wind may blow things around. Last of all, the plants will outgrow
the pot, and they will still look beautiful but you can let the natural change take its course
unless you are an avid drought tolerant gardener or do as you wish with the plants when they
get bigger.

How to care for Starlit Faerie Hollow:

Feel the soil about 1 to 2 inches down and water your
drought tolerant plants when the soil is completely dry. Cut back the watering in the fall and
especially the winter, while focusing the water on the soil and not on the succulent
leaves/cactus. It is best to water in the morning to prevent rotting of the plants, more so if you
accidentally get water on the succulent leaves/cactus so they can dry throughout the day.

The plants in Starlit Faerie Hollow:

There are 12 plants in your garden. I will list it with the
scientific name first and/or the (common name in the parenthesis): senecio rowleyanus (string
of pearls), parodia leninghausii (yellow tower cactus), crassula arborescens undulatifolia
(crassula ripple jade), portulacaria afra f. variegata (portulaca variegated rainbow bush or
variegated elephant bush), crassula ovata gollum (gollum jade or ET fingers), (sedum reflexum
blue spruce), graptopetalum paraguayense Jester, (sedum adolphi gold dust), echeveria
purpusorum or urbinia purpusii, anacampseros rufescens (sand rose or sunrise succulent),
